Curing It

I've been slowly working my way through the Apartment Therapy Home Cure book from memory for the past few weeks. I've been cleaning out kitchen cabinets like it's nobody's business (and our grocery budget saw the benefits), cleaning out bookshelves to remove stagnant knowledge, slowly and repeatedly cleaning out the 2nd bedroom to prepare it for it's transformation into the baby's (Babel's) room.

Here are some pictures to show our progress to date:

How the room started (after our renovations on the apt)

Where we are now

To date we have:
painted the room Sky by Val.spar (Lowe's)
painted a five drawer dresser white (alternating navy drawers to come)
painted a three shelf bookshelf and bought navy and green soft storage baskets
a white and navy striped soft laundry basket (Home.goods)
repainted a white round crib
ordered a lime green glider and ottoman with white trim and a light blue pillow
hung white faux wood blinds
green and white striped rugby curtains with navy blue trim (PB Kids Outlet)
bought letters spelling out the baby's name (to be painted and hung)
canvas print in bright colors with a country for each letter of the alphabet (Home.goods)
silver table lamp with a navy shade (Target)
lime green table lamp with a white and lime shade (Target)
navy woven baskets with white and navy basket liners (Home.goods)
light lime green "My Stuff" box for Babel's toys (Home.goods)

We're slowly compiling and making progress, and I can't wait until it's all together in the room. Follow along as I blog our progress and other Cure projects we're tackling this fall!
